Commonwealth Brands Inc., the fourth-biggest cigarette maker in the United States, is introducing two Davidoff Slim cigarette styles (Davidoff Slims Lights and Davidoff Slims Menthol Lights)to the United States this February 2009. Commonwealth Brands is owned by Imperial Tobacco PLC.

Introduction of Davidoff Slims follows the successful spring 2008 launch of Davidoff Premium Line cigarettes in the U.S. market. In the last year, Davidoff Slims cigarette volumes have grown by nearly 25% across the globe and now account for nearly one-fifth of the brand's total annual volumes, the company said. Davidoff cigarettes are one of the leading luxury cigarette brands in the world, and Imperial Tobacco's key global strategic brand. Davidoff cigarettes are already well-established in more than 100 countries as well as travel retail and duty free.

Support for Davidoff Slims in the United States includes a customized slims program set up to include media, point-of-sale and direct mail.
